adventures in aerospace
So I recently started working at Large Aircraft Manufacturer. (LAM) The plant I work at employs 30,000 people. The company as a whole employs 170,000. Usually you only hear about LAM when something goes wrong. But no matter how bumbling it seems from the outside, it's way worse on the inside.
Three months after my first day, I have been "graduated" from "training." In reality, I'm still completely worthless on the floor: the training center has given me a paltry subset of the production certificates I need to actually to do my assigned job. A commonly cited statistic at LAM is that a hundred men a day are retiring, each one representing decades of experience, walking out the door, forever. The training center is in the unenviable position of managing a generational replacement, and have resorted to shoveling heaps of zoomers through as fast as possible. (As one of the few people with a visible hairline and who is not wearing a Roblox graphic tee; I am frequently mistaken for an instructor, and asked where the bathroom is, what time the next class starts, etc)
In theory, the training center knows what shop I'm assigned to, and can simply assign me all the required classes. In practice, they do the absolute minimum amount of training in a desperate attempt to relive the crowding in their handful of computer labs and tell graduates to pick up their certs later.
Of course, the irresistible force of the schedule meets the immovable object of the FAA. If you don't have the required production certificate to perform a particular job, you don't touch the airplane. Full stop, end of story.
And so the curtain opens on the stage. It reveals a single senior mechanic, supervising a mechanic who finally received all the certs and is being qualified on this particular job, surrounded by another three trainees. Trainees are less than nothing, absolute scum. At best we can fetch and carry. Mostly we are expected to stay out of the way. And the senior mechanic is only senior in title. He is one of six assembler-installers who is certified to actually work on the plane, out of twenty people on the crew, and spends every day with a permanent audience. He is 23 years old.
("Mechanic"? If you think the jargon at your job is bad, try joining a company that's a century old. Assembler-installers are universally referred to as "mechanics", despite doing work that's nothing like what a car mechanic does, and who are generally paid far worse than FAA certified A&P mechanics. Mechanics are the 11 bravos of LAM, grunts, the single largest category of worker. The tip of the spear. Hooah!)
Tumblr media
Large Aircraft Manufacturer is in a dilly of a pickle. All of its existing airframe designs are hilariously antiquated. It tried designing a brand new plane from a clean sheet, and lost billions of dollars to a decade-long integration hell. After that, to save money, it tried just tacking bigger engines on an older design without changing anything else, and the stupid things plowed into the ground in an excruciatingly public manner.
LAM is now trying a middle road. It is upgrading one of its designs that is merely middle aged, rather than ancient, and with proven, de-risked components built in-house, rather than scattering them to subcontractors across the world. And it's still blowing past deadlines and burning billions of dollars LAM really doesn't have to spare.
This is the program I've been assigned to.
Advanced Midbody - Carbon Wing has taken the bold step of just tacking on carbon fiber wings to a conventional aluminum fuselage. Shockingly, AMCW is now stuck in lightning strike testing, due to that troublesome join between conductive aluminum and conductive...ish carbon fiber. But LAM, confident as ever, or perhaps driven by complaints of its customers, has announced that full rate production will begin just next year. Thus the tide of newhires. According to the schedule, we're supposed to jerk from one wingset a month to one wingset a week. That's not going to happen, but, oh well, orders from above move down at the speed of thought, while reality only slowly trickles upwards.
"120 inch pounds? Really?"
I startle upright. I have observed one hundred pi bracket installs, and I will observe a hundred more before I can touch aircraft structure. This is the first disagreement I've witnessed. A more advanced trainee is questioning the torque spec on a fastener. It is not an entirely foolish question-- most sleeve bolts we use are in the 40 in-pounds range. Doubling it that is unusual. I cough the dust off my unused vocal cords and venture an opinion.
"Well hey I could look it up? I guess"
The lead mechanic glances at me, surprised that I'm still awake, then looks away. Excuse enough for me!
I unfold myself from the stool I've been sitting on for the last four hours then hobble over to the nearest Shared Production Workstation.
We do not get Ikea-style step by step instructions on how to put together the airplane. Like any company that's been around for long enough, LAM is a tangled wad of scar tissue, ancient responses to forgotten trauma. If you state a dimension twice, in two different places, then it is possible for an update to only change one of those dimensions, thereby making the engineering drawing ambiguous. Something real bad must have happened in the past as a result of that, so now an ironclad rule is that critical information is only stated once, in one place, a single source of truth.
As a result, the installation plan can be a little... vague. Step 040 might be something like "DRILL HOLE TO SIZE AND TORQUE FASTENERS TO SPEC". What hole size? What torque spec?
Well, they tell you. Eventually.
Tumblr media
(Image from public Google search)
You are given an engineering drawing, and are expected to figure out how things go together yourself. (Or, more realistically, are told how it's done by coworkers) Step by step instructions aren't done because then dozens of illustrations would have to be updated with every change instead of just one, and drawings are updated surprisingly frequently.
Fasteners are denoted by a big plus sign, with a three letter fastener code on the left and the diameter on the right, like so: "XNJ + 8"
To get the actual part number, we go to the fastener callout table:
Tumblr media
(Note the use of a trade name in the table above. There is nothing a mechanic loves more than a good trademark. Permanent straight shank fasteners are always called HI-LOKs™. It's not a cable tie, it's a Panduit™. It's not a wedgelock, it's a Cleco™. Hey man, pass me that offset drill. What, you mean a Zephyr™? Where'd the LAMlube™ go? This also means you have to learn the names of everything twice, one name on the installation plan, and one name it's referred to in conversation.)
We find XNJ on that table, and fill in the diameter: BACB30FM8A. Now we look up the spec table for that fastener:
Tumblr media
The eagle eyed among you might note that there is no "diameter: 8" on that table. As a LAM mechanic, you are expected to simply know that "diameter" is measured in 32nds of an inch, which simplifies down to 1/4.
(LAM preserves many old-school skills like fraction reduction and memorizing decimal equivalents like this, like flies caught in amber. Not least is the universal use of Imperial units. Many American manufacturers have been browbeaten into adding parenthetical conversions. Not LAM! Any risk at all of a mechanic seeing a second number and using it by accident is too great, and anyway, it violates SSOT. Lengths are in inches and feet, weights are in pounds, volume is in gallons and if you don't like it then you can go eat shit!)
After 10 minutes of following references, I arrive at that table, print it off, highlight the correct row, and hand it off to my senior mechanic.
"Great, thanks."
Gratified that I have enhanced shareholder value, I sit back down, and immediately fall asleep. Another day living the dream.

black widows. who are they? here's a few bits of lore taken from various comic runs:
the program is called black widow because it refers to spider AND its purpose to train girls into becoming ruthless spies, but generally the trainees are given other names ( both as identities and code names if you will ) not necessarily spider themed
the mcu turned nat's backstory into an hive mind sort of situation but what you need to know is that actually:
the trainees go under a biochemical engineering process where their immune system is boosted, it prevents aging and provides fast healing. along with this they're chemically subjugated with a pheromone based serum ( to keep them loyal ) and an anti pregnancy type of serum that immediately kills cells - the doctor who designed this explains that the program wanted killers not mothers, hence something so aggressive. all these effects can be reduced by taking specific med suppressants as showed by natasha during her investigation on stefanya's case
natalia was brainwashed into believing to be a ballerina from the bolshoi as part of her kgb sleeper agent training. there's no indication the red room would brainwash other trainees into having these memories though they were given a training regime similar to those of ballerinas
there isn't a specific age to enter the bw program. natasha was 10 during her first cycle, enrolled by her legal guardian. another instance is yelena enrolling voluntarily at 15, with her parents fully knowing about it
the red room had a parallel organisation called department X. that's where the winter soldier program started ( for those who don't want to go with mcu's lore that it was hydra ) though called project zephyr. there were at least three more winter soldiers other than bucky, though as far as we know he was the only one eventually sent to the red room as a teacher
whoever switched to department X / sleeper agent program, was also given another serum. effects of that would be super strength, even faster healing etc
natalia escaped the red room several times and for long periods of time, every punishment done on her was eventually blueprint for how the next batch of widows would be treated in the program - some of the trainees who know natalia have some grudge against her because of this
the graduation ceremony is essentially a proof of loyalty. natalia's was the hysterectomy and the forced marriage to alexei. yelena's was investigating on a crime apparently committed by her mentor and the circumstances of his death - bottom line is that generally trainees are put through a traumatic event where someone they should not care about is involved, and to pass the loyalty test they basically have to do whatever it's asked of them. whoever fails to follow orders dies, obviously
natalia has had the highest score for decades. it took years for yelena to finally surpass her, but the point is that after her defection the red room was actively looking for someone skilled enough to replace nat as THE black widow. they never had much luck about that
as of today, unless a writer shows up and changes the lore, all red room have been destroyed by nat and bucky along with some secret hydra bases.
everything about zephyr project was destroyed in 2012, the three winter soldiers are not operational anymore
in 2016 anya / brown recluse along with her mother ( the original headmistress ) started a new version of red room called dark room - still based in the ruins of the original red room. natasha destroyed it
in 2017 after waking up post death, natasha finds out that there's a secret red room cell in the usa where almost every widow has clones of them made in series, ready to replace them whenever the previous body dies. in order to destroy the cell from the inside, natasha becomes headmistress of the red room for three months, actively training new recruits although by the end of it the girls are returned to their families with the help of SHIELD
yelena never outright says it but did mention a certain interest about wanting to train lucy ( and other girls ) red room style. she mentions a different, less competitive approach but natasha is categorically against the idea and won't let it happen in their san francisco operational base

I feel like the time has come for you all to meet my main Chuggington OC:
Tumblr media
Meet Astra, the new Chug Patroller!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Name: Astra
Created: May, 2020
Gender: Female ♀️
Age Range: 15-16
Home:
• Chuggington
• Tootington (formely)
Chugger Status: Full-fledged
Occupation:
• Chug Patroller
• Backup Equipment Carrier
Eye Color: Mauve
Main Color: Red
Gauge: Standard Gauge
Basis: Freelance Design
Power Type: Diesel-electric
Power Output: 1440 hp
Top Speed: 110 mph
Configuration: Bo-Bo
No. of Wheels: 8
Affiliation:
• Jackman
• Calley
• Asher
• Wilson
• Brewster
• Koko
• Zephie
About Astra:
Astra is a compartment engine who can carry extra Chug Patrol gear and equipment.
Personality:
She is relatively a kind-hearted, eager-to-please teenage girl; she is always happy to do whatever job she is given with a can-do attitude. While there are occasions once in a while when her excitable nature can get the better of her, she is still focused and very capable. Sweet, lively and encouraging, Astra is always ready to do her part, whether it's keeping the tracks safe as a Chug Patroller, or just making everyone smile as a friend.
Astra In Action:
Astra is fresh from completing training, and is the youngest full-time Chug Patrol member. (Wilson does not count; he is only a part-time member as he is still a trainee) She often tags along on emergency callouts with the rest of the squad.
She'll volunteer to do other jobs whenever the oppurtunity arises as she simply loves helping and enjoys a brief change, but in her spare time, she is hobby photojournalist (She has a retractable smartphone-like camera located and stored where her pop-up wingmirrors are; inside the hatch with the Chug Patrol emblem on the door to access her engine placed adjacent to her face, I will draw this in the future)
Ever since she was a trainee, she journals photos and sometimes videos of her everyday life and adventures, usually just cute selfies of herself or group photos. She shares them online with some of her old friends who also partake in this hobby. She also finds her camera useful for reporting track and trackside hazards to Chug Patrol.
Additional facts:
She was a Chug Patroller in Tootington quite some time before moving to Chuggington. She was a top student as a trainee and moved up so quickly, she had graduated while still in the chugger equivalent of teenage years. (Very rarely do chuggers become fully-fledged when they're young. Hodge, Zephie and Emery are the only canon chuggers in this scenario) She had a very close relationship with her old mentor before he suffered a tragic accident that permanently put him out of commission, but he would still be put back together and preserved by a museum. Astra had been invited to Chuggington around this same time and was sad to leave him behind, especially in the sorry state he was currently in, but he reminded her that he'd always be with Astra in her heart. She did manage to recover before she left for Chuggington, but didn't open up to the others about this situation until much later.
She also likes stargazing, and the Planetarium (A new location on the outskirts of Chuggington suburbs) is one of her favorite places.
She has a playful and adventurous relationship with Wilson, and is his best friend to be with whenever Brewster and Koko aren't around. She's usually the Chug Patroller Wilson is on patrol with if not with Jackman or by himself.
Like Wilson, she too would form a father-child-like relationship with Jackman.
She also has a bit of an aunt-like relationship with Calley and an uncle-like relationship with Asher.
Often while they're in CPHQ, Asher likes to listen to chill music on the radio and Astra in particular sways side-to-side or even full-on dances to the music on the turntable.
When she's not with Wilson, Brewster, Koko, or Chug Patrol, she also has a dynamic with Zephie cuz girl power lol
Astra's creation and design was inspired by the Plarail Disney Dream Railway Mickey Mouse Rescue Train by Takara Tomy:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a perfect real-life resemblance of this locomotive no matter how hard I tried, however the main body does seem to loosely resemble a E6 series Akita Shinkansen:
Tumblr media
Now, I'm under the impression that Mickey rescue train was a freelance design, but if by some crazy chance any of you know a better real-life resemblance, do comment below, I'd appreciate that. (^ー^)
Annnd I think that's that, everything you need to know about Astra! I'm hoping to make actual 3d orthos for her, but those are quite tedious and challenging, so for now, that side view and posed render I made back in 2022 will suffice. I wanted to get her revealed before any other Chuggington OCs before it gets too late into the year... and I still need to draw Margot The Monorail for @lomotunes2008 😅...
I was planning to get this released a bit earlier in the day, but additional editing and new content on Youtube kinda got in the way of that :P
But anyway, I hope you all enjoy and do stay tuned because there will be more of Astra, and more OCs in the near future!

A mashup of IDW and Seige canon of Ratchet and Deadlock, meet and run his underground asylum.
Based on Dialogue trees you get from Futomimi and Sakagahi, when you do the Aferlife Bell quest in SMT Nocturne.
For Ratchlock day.
(Next Chapter) || (Last Chapter)
There's a stain shaped like a human.
Work hard, do your best, and eventually you'll get somewhere.
When Ratchet transferred from the highest ranked schooling from Vaporex to the political charged state of Iacon, he expected pointed comments. He expected turned up faces. What he didn't know was how much he would be pushed into being an engineer.
Sure he has some skill in the field, many of his professors have left comments on it but never has he imagined being one. However, Ratchet found that his study to become a medic was going nowhere. Everywhere he went all of the classes would refuse his application, but he didn't give up.
If he wasn't going to be an official student he could still go to classes. When other mechs would sneak out or skip lectures he would slip in. Medic trainees would pay him to do their homework and he took it. All this hard work pays off, he gets the top scores, his engineering career is going well too. When his colleagues get hurt he can repair them better than the campus doctors. Then he graduated...
He gets hired to work on ground bridge operations. It doesn't excite him but it was honest work, and he could save enough money to carry equipment for a first aid kit. Once he was shipped off to the outskirts of the Dead End, that's where he finds his calling.
Since all fast travel in the area was decommissioned, Ratchet was forced to drive out to all locations. It wasn't too bad, but since he was the only one willing to do this job he was on his own. That's when he sees in person just how much Cybertron has abandon.
Streets filled with broken mechs and ruined buildings. There's no hope here, and his white paint lights up against the ash filled air, stains the vision of the city. It was silent until a siren went off in the distance. Despite him knowing the police's pensions for brutality, seeing it with his own eyes still frighten him.
"You're going to be okay." He hears a bot the panic in his voice. "Just hang in there, I'm going to get you help. Just hold on." Ratchet makes it to the voice. It was two bots in the middle of the road, both covered in blood. However, one person is down, closer to death.
"I don't think I can...", said bot also coughs up more blood. "Just wait for me to pass on. Then you can scavenge my parts."
"It's not fair." The mech brakes eye contact, looking to the sky. Then he looks towards the siren lights driving away. "They killed the wrong bot..."
"Let me try to help." Ratchet walks up to two mechs. The back mind is yelling at him, he's a ground bridge operator, an engineer, never even picked ot study medic. He can't do this, but he also can't stand here doing nothing. "I can't promise anything, but please I want to help."
They both look at him with a befuddled faces. He knows they shouldn't trust him but something must have broken because they allow him to help. They let him operate, and by the end of it all they thanked him, and for the first time since he left his home village, he felt proud of himself.
That's when Ratchet knew the direction of where is life is going. He would make money fixing and maintaining public works, taking other jobs, and making as much money as he could to build a clinc. He set it up in the center of Dead End, chosen it to give it resistance the fastest access to him. He worked himself tirelessly between these jobs and for the first time in his life. He managed to find success and happiness.
Do you think my life was a success?
Yes
>No
I see... yeah you might be right.
Just when I thought I achieved happiness, my fortune collapsed like a house of cards.
Then the outside world gotten word about it. The Senate at first only saw the healing of Dead End's bots. That they would start to walk around and they would fix the left over peices of the city. Had enough energy to walk around and wanted to start working.
However, Ratchet soon discovered that this was unwanted. That if Dead End successfully pulled itself together and made it possible to be something, then the fundamental ideology of Functionism would be thrown into question. If that where to happen, what other mechs would go against the class systems set forward by them.
It couldn't stand, so they made sure it didn't, and so they set off a bomb. Framed as an accident during transit from the military bases, they had approved of it being set off. Then they approved of some police officers to do a quick sweep of firing rounds to hit what remained. They're mission wasn't to kill anyone but if the managed too, it wasn't seen as a bad thing.
At the time Ratchet was sent off planet to see if he could assist in fixing a space bridge from Lunar-2 to Tyger Pax. Of course when it played on the news he tried to ground bridge there, but couldn't. His first transporters where destroyed, when he did get back, his clinc as well. Then when he made it home, his house was raided too.
Nothing made him feel so powerless than when he was stopped at the front door. A mech had pinned him against the wall of his assigned room and warned him away from returning to Dead End. That if they found out he went back he wouldn't be able to keep his face.
Worse was when the said mech had his hands wonder all over his body, and said next time he gets sent out he has permission to do as he pleases with him. Ratchet also finds all of his funds were frozen out, and when he does get access to them all of the money had disappeared.
You should be careful. You never know what tomorrow may bring...
After all of that, Ratchet still tries to help. He still returns to assist all the mechs of the city. They still look at him with hopefully eyes, but understanding that they could never crawl out by their own strength. Many where mad at him for even letting them entertain the idea. Others where mad for him, after all it was one thing to steal from bots with nothing on them. It was another to kick the bot who tries to give a hand to someone who needs it.
Most bots however, joined the Decepticons. They believed that if the government had been threatened by their peaceful solution then they would coware at their revolution. All of this would lead to their planet dying, not that the blame could be one sided. The Senate and later the Autobots would fight them to standstill.
Ratchet would find himself in the middle of it. At first he tried to stay neutral but the bots of Dead End where quick to bring up the attack. Then it was shaking down his person and finally braking into his home and ransacking his equipment.
Traitor was branded on his door, then on his frame. When Ratchet returned to work with a still orange smelter on his left hip, his friend Wheeljack, help him join the Autobots. For a time he was safe, the squad he joined even allowed him to repair any bot whom he wanted, even Decepticons were allowed to be fixed.
Do you think my life was a success?
>Yes
No
That's what everybody else thought, too.
...until that one day.
That was until a superior officer had came down for a vist. When they saw Ratchet repair two mechs with purple badges, they made it clear to him this would stop. If he gets caught again they would charge him with treason and he would be place on the enemy list. That's when he knew he had to go.
Being a deserter was a lighter charge than being a traitor. With his life on the line again, Ratchet has to go, because he could never leave a bot to die. In his spark he could never leave a mech to die without trying. He gives Wheeljack his coordinates, he trust that mech to only uses it when absolutely necessary.
Or at least he did.
The next time he sees his former colleague the bot had brought in toe a former bailiff turned Assassin. They force Ratchet to hand over everything on his person. The bots he was traveling with where tied down and put into custody of the Prime.
For the first time in my life, I had the urge to kill.
He was left on the ground, one push away from the cliffside. Wheeljack had saved his life but at the freedom of others. That's when he tells him to never find him again. That if he truly is sorry, he would only give that location to mechs who need it. They both promised something that day and that would be the last time he would speak to him, or it seemed.
So much anger,
As the war went on, Ratchet would travel. He would make a portable ground bridge went to the next battlefields and collect both parts and bots left behind to die. Like a Grim Reaper, he walks the path of death. However, he wouldn't take life he would do his best to keep it.
Rumor about his presence as a super natural entity made it easier to avoid authority. Many bots who believed in apparitions would come with him quietly. When he repaired them all of them would stay by him. When two bots of different factions would meet, it was almost always up to him to keep them civil.
Then he ran into Deadlock. The bot he gained feelings for. At first he didn't recognize him, but in private the mech tells him about the time they first met. That he was standing in the middle of the road in his friend's arm about to die. Then he adimts about the time he almost turned him to Megatron.
But the only way he could place Deadlock to the incidents is when he spoke those words to him. "Come on Doc, don't think like that. Everyone has kindness in their hearts."
That's when Ratchet's spark drops. This was the mech who was sent to capture him. Who knew of his habit of helping injured bots and almost trapped him into the Decepticons. Whenever he looks at Deadlock now, all he sees is a bot who has changed course, and doesn't he deserve a chance at it.
Ratchet of course also has a bad habit of letting mechs who hurt him do it again. So they both come to an agreement, he repairs Deadlock and takes him to back. The mech agrees to help him out with his operations.
So that's what they did. Ratchet would travel around and Deadlock would follow in tow. Keeping him safe and holding down bots when their reflexes kicked in. Later when their party had gotten too big to travel around and the building became to full. Deadlock drove off without a word.
Weeks became months and when two years passed by the mech came back. He tells Ratchet that he managed to find a bombed down theater that still had functional power. It was large enough for housing and medical care. When he shows him Ratchet is so relieved that he kisses him on the spot.
Deadlock field goes haywire but he doesn't reject it. Instead he grabs Ratchet's frame and frags him hard and wild, places him on the stage. With his groveling voice yells into Ratchet's microphone pick ups that he can't wait when the crew comes in. That after a long shift of picking up bots and patching up frames they would do this again, and next time they will have an audience to perform for.
That was the only time they had. As most of it was being too exhausted with fixing the building. Making sure that it look destroyed from the outside, having to only fix the bottom floors without collapsing the building from the top proved to be difficult. Even with the mechs he saved helping out, many issuses of resources and planning was still too much to worry about.
So Deadlock planned to search again. He spends his last night just sitting next to Ratchet. Telling him not worry, and he will comm every day just to reassure him of his safety. Ratchet gives him his ground bridge. Tells him to come back immediately after he finds something he thinks will help and that he will pick up his calls even if he can't talk back.
That was the last time they speak together, because once Ratchet was properly situated he update Wheeljack of his location.
There's a stain shaped like a human.
That's when he finds Impactor and things spirals out of control. Between Wheeljack taking Optimus Prime here, their entourage raising tempers and talks about Megatron abuse of the Matrix. Ratchet has to leave.
Many of his mechs encourage him to stay. Prime has no power here and if they want his help he should force the Autobots to promise to leave them alone. He doesn't answer them, he knows Wheeljack has betrayed him before. That the army has force his hands, but something tells him complying is the best option.
He turns to Impactor, tells him to tell the bigger bots to take care of the sick. Ratchet knows that mech has turned himself around and regained his spark. So it comes to a surprise that the mech follows behind him. Defending him from Elita-One and even sacrificing his own frame by pulling his comm out.
They violated him and still Impactor smiles at him, stays with him and gives his life for him. He sees his spark give out, but never sees his new found love of life leave his body.
That mankin died. He died the instant he became human. You see humans cannot exist in the vortex world...
As he boards the Arc, Ratchet gets a call from Deadlock. When he reached to answer the distance is to far.

BACKSTORY !!
wang dohee was born on october 8th, 2002 to a korean mother and korean father. her mother, wang rina (born 1973) is a volunteer worker for homeless shelters around seoul. her father, wang eungyeol (born 1970) is a software engineer currently working in seoul, south korea.
dohee was born in seoul, south korea as the first child in her family. the pregnancy was very rough for her mother, so despite wanting to have more children, dohee remained an only child. only having one child to focus on, dohee became very close with her parents. she considered them her best friends all throughout her school years and was always happy to come home to them at the end of the day. when dohee had to move out to become a trainee, she was very homesick and missed her parents so much even though she would still see them every weekend and they were not even an hour away.
when dohee was two years old, her family moved to boston, usa. they lived there until dohee turned eleven, as her parents were worried about her deteriorating korean skills. dohee excelled at her korean secondary school, being especially good at the sciences and maths, her arts grades were also superb. dohee graduated two years early, skipping both her sixth and ninth grade years. dohee had trouble making friends and experienced some bullying in secondary school due to many issues. because of this, her parents wanted her to explore some of her interests outside of school, thus leading to her joining a local dance crew in january 2014.
Tumblr media
FACTS !!
dohee became a trainee in august of 2017.
she used to be able to speak better english than korean but since moving back, that has changed.
her parents can speak english well, but dohee is better.
after moving back to korea, dohee struggled to make friends and had some bullying issues. so, her parents wanted her to explore her interests outside of school, thus allowing her to join a local dance crew in january 2014.
this dance crew entered lots of competitions where dohee could compete in group routines and as a soloist. this also gave her the chance to try out many different styles of dance.
at one of their competitions in july 2017, dohee was scouted by a bighit employee for her hiphop solo.
her favorite styles of dance are hiphop and modern.
dohee is also quite flexible, but she rarely shows off her skills.
dohee is ambidextrous.
she is musically gifted/a musical genius; having perfect pitch, the ability to sight read, and being able to play many different instruments.
her best instrument is piano, but she is getting better at the flute.
dohee was diagnosed with autism and ocd when she was four years old after her parents grew concerned about some behavioral patterns.
she does not have any medication for her autism. she has a medication for her ocd which she takes daily.
due to her neurodivergence, dohee has a near photographic memory. she can remember almost any song she’s ever heard, even if it’s for the first time, she can remember any face or name of any person she’s ever met, she is also great with naming movies and tv shows based off of theme songs, casts, quotes, screenshots, etc.
because of her dance background and partly because of her autism, dohee has an insane ability of always being on time while dancing/singing. if a song starts randomly in the middle, she can pick up the choreography and lyrics instantly.
her reaction time is also wild!! (like that one video of yeonjun dancing immediately after song starts)
also due to her autism, dohee is a very fast talker. it is natural for her; she’s been like this since she was learning how to talk.
with this ability, she was able to become a very skilled rapper.
her favorite colors are pink and blue.
she loves playing minecraft!!!
she also loves story and puzzle-type games.
dohee is a cat person.
her favorite kpop artists are hyunA, seventeen, red velvet, taeyeon, mamamoo, and nct 127.
her favorite western artists are sabrina carpenter, lana del rey, madison beer, selena gomez, and cavetown.
her favorite movie is the lion king.
dohee is a huge nerd.
she loves the harry potter books.
her favorite season is winter.
she loves playing in the snow!!
dohee is very in-touch with her inner child.
dohee has had an emotional support cat since 2013. she has a somali/fox cat. her name is kyongi!
dohee also has an official service dog which she takes everywhere with her. she has a black labrador called chanho.
dohee crochets!!!
she’s also really gay!!!
the boys have said that when dohee sleeps she makes this grumbling sound. she only does it when she moves in her sleep. the boys have many videos of her doing this.

The Universal Protectorate is an organization dedicated to keeping the peace in interplanetary space, providing a sense of order to the people of the universe and making sure that the space in between the planets is not a lawless wasteland. Originally, they were a non-profit which only used non-violent conflict resolution. Until they were bought by BLIS, the largest corprate entity the universe has every seen, they own everything... and everyone. (basically if 911 operators were owned by amazon... in space)
Control:
The Base of Operations for all sects of TUP
Space Station at Nowhere/BLIS-S/1
Officially called Universal Protectorate Command, colloquially called “UPCom” by rangers
Workplace of all TUP higher ups and major authorities
The Ranger Academy:
Directly connected to UPCom
Officially called The Universal Protectorate Academy for Ranger Trainees, colloquially called “TUPART”, “UPcademy”, or just “school” by rangers
Students must be (the developmental equivalent of) 16 years old to enroll at TUPART
The ranger educational path: a 4-step process
1 - Basic Ranger Training
For the youngest/newest of students to learn the basics of being a UP Ranger(2 years)
2 - Trainee Internships
Students who have completed step 1 are assigned as interns on various ranger stations for real life experience and to help them decide on a path for step 3. Ranger Captains are discouraged from bringing interns on potentially dangerous missions(1 year)
3 - Path Pursuit
After their internships, students decide on 1 or 2 “majors” to specialize in such as, ‘combat’, ‘engineering’, ‘public interpretation’, etc, they may also decide to step out of the ranger program and into the corporate sect of TUP(2 years)
4 - Probation
Freshly graduated Rangers are added to crews on probation to ease them into the system further(it's like the internships but more involved), after which they are either officially assigned to the same crew, or reassigned to a different crew(6 months)
Ranger stations:
The workplace of designated ranger crews
There is one assigned station per habited solar system, with number of crews and size of station proportional to the number of inhabited planets, uninhabited systems are the jurisdiction of the closest station
Unless called in by “local”(meaning local to the planet) law enforcement, TUP Ranger jurisdiction is only in Interplanetary space, areas outside of a planet’s atmosphere
Rangers are usually called to monitor traffic in and out of the system, as well as keep updated on possible large-scale disasters on the planets in their system(large scale meaning: 1000+ casualties with no end in sight), they also patrol(in FTL cruisers) the system for disturbances and respond to SOS calls from traveling ships
Because long-range teleportation is incredibly costly with its use of energy, the teleport to UPCom is for only emergencies and direct summons from Generals(and other higher ups)
Ranger Station Command Structure:
Each Ranger Crew has a variety of roles to balance out the specializations of each crew member,
When an Emergency Response is called for, all applicable crew is released from their individual tasks and put into the Response Team
Captain (1)
The captain is the final and main decision maker of the crew, they dish out the orders, assign crew members to tasks, communicate and report to command, and make sure everyone is doing their role effectively
Clones(1-4)
When a ranger is chosen to be a captain, they receive a clone to act as a right-hand and as a balance for decision making. Clones are specialized by the captain to support their weaknesses highlight their strengths(example: If the captain is prone to violence, their clone may be suited to finding non-violent solutions), Full-Cloning(the creation of an identical, complicated organism, with customized traits and skills) is incredibly expensive, so more clones of the captain are only received as gifts for years of service(1/decade)
Clones are legally not considered people, but as extensions of captains. They don’t receive pay, and are entirely at the whims of their sources
Clones can be distinguished from their sources via a separate uniform, as well as several identifiers on their bodies that are grown into the clone
Clones are officially referred to as [Source’s Surname]-[Clone #], ie. Wevice-1
Clones are destroyed by security when their Sources die
If a clone dies, the Captain will have to pay for a replacement if they require one. The reason for a clone’s death is not required to be disclosed when submitting replacement paperwork
Pilots/Patrol Officers (4)
Pilots of FTL cruisers for patrolling their system, they travel in teams of 2, and are usually on duty for multiple cycles at a time
Not summoned for emergency responses
Security(2)
On ship security, monitor cameras, always one on duty
Summoned for emergency responses
Communications(2)
Monitors and responds to communications from system planets, as well as watching for SOS messages, there is always 1 on duty for 24/hr support
Not summoned for emergency responses
Maintenance(1)
Keeps the station in working order, engineers, fix broken appliances, etc
Summoned for emergency responses
Relief Organizers(1)
In charge of organizing and keeping the captain informed of relief operations on planets(things such as offworld help, physical supplies, evacuation efforts), only exist during an emergency response, otherwise they assist with communications and inventory management
In charge of organizing emergency responses(along with the captain)
Sanitation(1)
They’re the janitors and in charge of making sure there’s minimal spread of disease aboard the station
Summoned for emergency responses
Medical Staff(2)
Operates medical equipment on board the station, also in charge of prescribing and procuring any medications that crew members need, off duty during the night but can be put back on duty if a crisis arises
Summoned for emergency responses(unless there are life threatening injuries in the station, in which case only one is summoned at a time)
Interpreters(1)
Respond to non-emergency communications, such as, directing someone who got lost, settling disputes, etc
Summoned for emergency responses
Inventory Management(1)
Keeps track of ship inventory, including food, weapons, medical supplies, etc, keeps the captain informed on what needs to be ordered, in charge of meal preparation for the crew
Not Summoned for emergency responses, but in charge of keeping Emergency Response Teams supplied
Runner(1)
Runs supplies between locations, especially in an emergency response

Scripts - S7 - Episode 1 (Part 1 of 2)
Meet the girls, meet the boys (+ chat with Alex)
NARRATOR: Welcome back to a brand-spanking new season of Love Island! Well, actually we’re partway through and are about to go into Casa Amor!  But will I make <i>Amor</i> funny opening than this? I hope so, for your sakes. I’ve been stuck in this shed since last season and my chat’s a bit rusty.  But don’t worry, the Islanders’ chat is far better!  Let’s meet our stunning Casa Amor girls!
Your Jeep rolls down the stony drive and comes to a stop outside Casa Amor. Your heart races as you strut down the path to the entrance. You open the door to reveal the glamorous, modern villa and strut inside… You step out onto the lawn and spy a table decked out with champagne glasses. Three other Casa Amor girls squeal with excitement when they see you.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Ahh! It’s the final Casa Girl!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Hey, everyone!
SUMMER_HAPPY: Wow, I thought I’d be stealing the show.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: Looks like I’ll have some serious competition.
Summer looks stunned as she pours you a glass of bubbly.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Thanks!
SUMMER_HAPPY: Sorry, I haven’t even introduced myself, I’m Summer!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Hey, Summer.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Oh my days, you’re gorgeous!
She beams with joy, full of nervous energy.
BONNIE_EMBARRASSED: Did I just say that out loud?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Aha yes! But thank you.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Well it’s true! You’re a hottie! I’m Bonnie by the way.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Nice to meet you!
SUMMER_HAPPY: And this is Uma…
Uma steps forward to greet you with a striking confidence.
UMA_FLIRTY: Way to show us all up… We all knew the final girl would be a bombshell.
UMA_HAPPY: But I didn’t think you’d be this stunning.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Last, but certainly not least!
SUMMER_FLIRTY: So, what do we call you?

BONNIE_IDLE: Wow congratulations, that must be hard work.
PLAYER_HAPPY: It is! Being a doctor is all I ever wanted to do.

PLAYER_HAPPY: I’m actually training to be a civil engineer. It’s mostly helping with designs, writing up reports and assisting the lead engineers. But I’m hoping to be building bridges of my own one day.

PLAYER_IDLE: I’m kinda still figuring that out. Having a bit of a gap year.  I’ve been travelling and getting some life experience. Trying to decide what’s next for me.
PLAYER_HAPPY: If that's to study more or get into a job. I’m kinda still figuring that out.
BONNIE_HAPPY: I respect that. There’s no rush to find what you want to do! We’ve got our whole lives for that.
BONNIE_HAPPY: That’s such a coincidence!
BONNIE_HAPPY: I’m a campaigner for an animal rights charity! I’m obsessed with nature and wildlife. And doing everything we can to protect it.

You look around the villa, soaking it all in, nervous excitement hangs in the air.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: Hope you girls are ready to turn some heads!
UMA_FLIRTY: We were just talking game plans for when the boys arrive.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: Yeah! What’s your game plan going to be, {0}?
I’m getting my flirt on!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Oh I’m definitely going to be grafting. If we’re getting back to the main villa…
We are gonna need to get our flirt on.
Gonna act casual
PLAYER_HAPPY: I think I’m just gonna play it cool. If I just be myself then I’ll vibe with the right guy. Plus that’ll let them do the grafting.
Mysterious is the way to go
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m going for the mysterious approach. Get them hooked and wanting to know more.No point giving everything away straight away.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Ooh, I like it!
SUMMER_HAPPY: I think I’m going to take it slow. Really get to know them before I commit.
UMA_IDLE: Really? I don’t know about you, but I plan to turn some heads.

PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’ve been away on holiday recently so haven’t seen it at all. Seeing them will be a nice surprise.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: It sure will.
SUMMER_HAPPY: What do we think these boys are gonna be like then?
SUMMER_FLIRTY: I’ve always liked big hunks who can cook exquisite Italian food…
PLAYER_HAPPY: That’s pretty specific.
BONNIE_HAPPY: I just want someone who can make me laugh, a real comedian.
BONNIE_IDLE: And someone who is kind and puts other people first.
UMA_IDLE: I know what you mean. I want a proper gent.
UMA_FLIRTY: Someone who’s ambitious and knows what they want from life. So we can be the ultimate power couple.
UMA_HAPPY: Some rock hard abs wouldn’t hurt though.
BONNIE_HAPPY: What about you, {0}. Have you got a type on paper?
Boy next door
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m looking for those ‘boy next door’ vibes.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Someone who I can take home to the family and see a future with.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Proper boyfriend material?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Exactly!
Bubbly and energetic
PLAYER_HAPPY: I just want someone who’s bubbly and fun. A guy I can have great chat with, someone to match my energy.
BONNIE_HAPPY: I’m with {0} there. You’ve gotta be on the same wavelength for sure.
Mysterious and chill
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I like someone mysterious… sexy.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I enjoy finding out more about them slowly. Chipping away.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Makes things more interesting.
UMA_FLIRTY: I totally agree.
Romantic and sweet
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I want a hopeless romantic.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Someone thoughtful who likes to surprise me.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Yes! Need a man who is gonna treat you right!
BONNIE_HAPPY: I suppose we’ll wait and see who walks through those doors.
SUMMER_HAPPY: I wonder what’s been happening in the villa so far?
BONNIE_HAPPY: We’ll find out soon enough!
BONNIE_EMBARRASSED: I’m so nervous, I’ve never done anything like this before.
BONNIE_HAPPY: But life’s all about new experiences!
UMA_HAPPY: Exactly, you could have love at first sight. Who knows what will happen?
SUMMER_HAPPY: We’re gonna hang out with a load of hot boys, that’s what!
BONNIE_HAPPY: And beautiful girls too it seems!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Are you into girls as well as boys?
BONNIE_HAPPY: Oh yeah, for sure. Whoever lights my fire!  Are you into girls too, {0}?
Yeah, I’m into girls and boys
PLAYER_HAPPY: Yeah! I’m into girls and boys.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Good to know… Can’t wait to get to know you better.
I’m not into girls
PLAYER_HAPPY: Nah, I’m just into boys.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Fair enough. Well I can’t wait to get to know you girls anyway.
Suddenly, your phone pings.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Our first Love Island text! This is it, our summer begins now.
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s mine!
LITEXT: Girls, the boys are on their way from the main villa. Please get ready to meet them. {0}FirstImpressions {1}GameOn
BONNIE_HAPPY: Ahh! Here we go!!!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Let’s do this.
You all hurry into the villa to prepare for the boys’ arrival.
The girls rush into the dressing room to touch up their hair and make up.
SUMMER_HAPPY: It’s all happening, ladies. Our men are on the way!
BONNIE_HAPPY: They’re not ours yet. They’re still coupled up, remember.
UMA_FLIRTY: Not for long…
UMA_HAPPY: If we’re gonna turn some heads we need to knock their socks off.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Gonna be hard catching their eyes while standing next to {0}. But I’ll try my best to match her glam…
SUMMER_FLIRTY: I’m not worried.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Really? I feel like I need some flirt practice. I might be rusty.
PLAYER_IDLE: When was your last relationship?
BONNIE_EMBARRASSED: Oh, me and my ex split about 8 months ago.
BONNIE_IDLE: But we were together for a year.
BONNIE_HAPPY: There’s no hard feelings between us though. I’ve been a bit slow getting back into the dating game. Guess that’s why I’m here.
SUMMER_HAPPY: I definitely couldn’t wait 8 months to get out there! Gotta live your life! Just hit up some raves and see who you meet. And then if they end up being boring then it’s byyyyeee.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: No point waiting around for what you want. Gotta go out and get it!
UMA_IDLE: At a rave though? No way, that’s not my vibe.
PLAYER_HAPPY: What’s your vibe then, Uma?
UMA_HAPPY: I wanna be wined and dined! Fine-dined that is…
BONNIE_HAPPY: Yes!
UMA_HAPPY: You can tell a lot about a guy by how much effort he puts into the first date.
UMA_HAPPY: My ex was obsessed with food, he’d take me to some of the best restaurants.
BONNIE_HAPPY: He sounds like a keeper. What happened?
UMA_HAPPY: Let’s just say his arse got dumped! I’m after the real deal now. No more lads.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: How about you, {0}? What’s your dating history like?
Fresh out of a long-term relationship
PLAYER_IDLE: I actually just got out of a long-term thing.
PLAYER_HAPPY: But I feel like I’m ready to find someone new!
BONNIE_HAPPY: I’m right here with you!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Time to get back out there.
I’ve had a few situationships
PLAYER_HAPPY: I’ve had a few situationships.
PLAYER_HAPPY: But nothing super serious.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Yeah, who needs serious!
PLAYER_HAPPY: But I think I’m ready for the real thing.
I’ve just been having fun till now
PLAYER_HAPPY: To be honest I haven’t really had any serious relationships.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I’m not necessarily looking for the love of my life. I’m just trying to have some fun.
SUMMER_HAPPY: A girl after my own heart.
BONNIE_HAPPY: It is <i>Love</i> Island after all!
UMA_FLIRTY: And there are boys for the taking!
SUMMER_HAPPY: Speaking of which, they’re probably nearly here! We need to get ready!
BONNIE_HAPPY: I mean, {0} is already looking 10 out of 10.
Looking in the mirror, you’re looking out of this world in your outfit. With the boys nearly here, you wonder whether you want to make any final touches.
UMA_HAPPY: I thought you couldn’t improve on perfection!
UMA_FLIRTY: Summer’s right, first impressions are everything. Everyone knows that Casa girls have the toughest challenge.
UMA_HAPPY: We have to make them forget they ever had partners.
BONNIE_HAPPY: What you thinking, {0}?
PLAYER_IDLE: I think this works.
SUMMER_SURPRISED: Are you sure?
UMA_HAPPY: We’ve only got a few days to get back to the main villa. Wanna start it off with a bang!
Ok, I’ll take another look
I’m fine
PLAYER_HAPPY: This will definitely turn their heads.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Oh my days, give us a chance, {0}!
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Stunning!
UMA_HAPPY: They won’t know what hit ‘em.
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m feeling more comfortable in this outfit.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Whatever makes you feel comfortable!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Well, I think we are looking gooooorgeous!
UMA_HAPPY: Look out boys, here we come.
SUMMER_EMBARRASSED: Hey, I actually thought of something.
SUMMER_IDLE: What if we all take it slow today?
PLAYER_SURPRISED: Really?
SUMMER_IDLE: We could stick together and let the boys do the work?
SUMMER_IDLE: We all want to make sure we find the right boy…
SUMMER_IDLE: And get back to the villa together. There’s no point rushing.
BONNIE_IDLE: I thought you just said you don’t wait for boys?
SUMMER_HAPPY: I know but I’m here to do things differently! I wanna try the slow burn.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Well I’m a slow burn kinda girl anyway, so fine by me!
UMA_FLIRTY: Erm, not gonna lie I’m not about the slow burn.
UMA_FLIRTY: You guys can do what you like, but I’m jumping in head first.
SUMMER_HAPPY: What do you say, {0}?
SUMMER_IDLE: I know you said you were going to get your flirt on but…
SUMMER_HAPPY: You did say you were gonna play it casual…
SUMMER_HAPPY: You did say you wanted to play it mysterious…
SUMMER_IDLE: Shall we all take it slow together?
Let’s take it slow
PLAYER_HAPPY: Sure thing, Summer.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Let’s take things slow. We don’t want to rush things and get it wrong.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Yes! I knew you would get it.
No way, I’m going for it
PLAYER_IDLE: Nah, I’m gonna do my own thing.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I want to be free to get to know the boys.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Ergh really, I thought you would get it?
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Oh well. Just me and Bonnie then.
Suddenly you hear the doors of the villa open.
The sound of excited chatter echoes from downstairs.
UMA_HAPPY: The boys are here!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Let’s get out there, girls!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Good luck everyone!
Summer rushes out of the door and downstairs.
BONNIE_EMBARRASSED: So much for taking things slow…
You and the other girls hurry out behind her to meet the boys.
You spot Summer already flirting with two of the boys and sashay over to meet them.
PLAYER_IDLE: Having fun there, Summer?
SUMMER_HAPPY: Oh, hey guys! Have you met Alex and Joyo yet?
UMA_IDLE: Obviously not.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Hey! It’s great to meet you all.
JOYO_FLIRTY: You’re all looking stunning.
JOYO_FLIRTY: I can already tell this is going to be interesting.
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: Yeah, today’s been wild already.
ALEX_FLIRTY: What do we call you girls?
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m {0}. This is Bonnie and Uma.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Nice to meet you, boys.
UMA_FLIRTY: I hope you’re ready to forget all about the main villa…
JOYO_FLIRTY: I think we’re in trouble here, Alex.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Yeah, you all seem lovely.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Your outfit is amazing, {0}.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Going to be hard to keep my eyes off you.
JOYO_FLIRTY: You’ve got a great look for sure.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Thanks!
UMA_FLIRTY: Is it just you two then?
JOYO_FLIRTY: Bored of us already?
UMA_FLIRTY: Just want to weigh up all my options.
JOYO_HAPPY: They’re exploring inside, but we’re all you need right here, right?
The villa doors swing open and out burst two more boys.
RAFAEL_HAPPY: Well hello, hello!
BRYSON_HAPPY: There you all are! We were wondering where the ladies were at.
ALEX_HAPPY: Speak of the devils…
SUMMER_FLIRTY: And I thought the boys couldn’t get any hotter!
BRYSON_HAPPY: How wrong you were!
BRYSON_FLIRTY: Hey, girls! I’m Bryson.
RAFAEL_HAPPY: I’m Rafael, it’s a pleasure to meet you!
RAFAEL_HAPPY: This villa is almost as gorgeous as you all.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Cute, where have you two been hiding?
BRYSON_HAPPY: We just had a cheeky little tour. This place is sick!
RAFAEL_HAPPY: We may have gotten a little lost.
ALEX_HAPPY: Lost? You guys are useless.
BRYSON_HAPPY: We wanted to find you girls first, but we’ve been beaten to it.
You catch Bryson’s eye and his face lights up.
BRYSON_FLIRTY: Sorry, I didn’t catch your name?
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s {0}.
BRYSON_HAPPY: I won’t be forgetting that in a hurry.
JOYO_IDLE: You’d forget your own name if it wasn’t written on your clothes, Bryson.
BRYSON_SERIOUS: At least I know how to dress myself, Joyo.
There is a moment of awkward silence, before the boys burst out laughing.
JOYO_HAPPY: I don’t even have an answer for that one.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: So boys, who’s closed off and who’s not?
BRYSON_SURPRISED: Straight on it, love to see it.
BONNIE_HAPPY: And this is her taking it slow.
The boys all look at each other, seeming unsure what to say.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Cat got your tongue, boys?
RAFAEL_IDLE: I guess I’m the only one that’s kind of closed off.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: Kind of? You don’t sound too certain.
A phone pings.
ALEX_FLIRTY: That’s mine!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Ooh read it out!
LITEXT: Islanders, it’s time for an ice-breaker, please make your way to the firepit for a game of Sexy Charades! {0}MimeTime {1}LimberUp
RAFAEL_HAPPY: Sexy charades! Yes!
BRYSON_HAPPY: This will be fun. Let’s go!
You all rush off towards the firepit.
Everyone takes a seat around the firepit where a stack of cards sits.
Your phone pings.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Another text! It’s mine.
LITEXT: Islanders, please take it in turns to pick a card and act out the action with the Islander you think is the hottest. {0}, you’re up first. {1}PartyStarter {2}LetsGo
BONNIE_HAPPY: Ahhh, I’m so excited!
Bonnie leans over and whispers in your ear.
BONNIE_HAPPY: This is our chance to show these boys what we’re made of.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Better put on a good show if we’re gonna make it back to the villa.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Can’t wait to see what tricks you’ve gotten hidden up your sleeve.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Well, {0}. What are you waiting for?
UMA_FLIRTY: Yeah, which boy do you think is the hottest?
Alex
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I think it’s going to have to be Alex.
ALEX_HAPPY: Wooo!
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: I mean, I’m flattered!
Alex stands and joins you over by the cards.
Rafael
PLAYER_FLIRTY: It’s going to have to be Rafael.
RAFAEL_HAPPY: Wow, really?!
RAFAEL_HAPPY: I’m honoured!
Rafael stands and joins you over by the cards.
Bryson
PLAYER_FLIRTY: It’s going to have to be Bryson.
BRYSON_HAPPY: YES!
BRYSON_IDLE: I mean, totally. I saw that coming.
BRYSON_HAPPY: Wasn’t surprised at all.
Bryson stands and joins you over by the cards.
Joyo
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I think it has to be Joyo.
JOYO_FLIRTY: I knew you’d have great taste.
Joyo stands and joins you over by the cards.
The other boys seem disappointed as you reach for the first card.
It reads Cowgirl.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Ok, let’s go!
You grab {0} by the hand and drag him in front of everyone.
{0}_FLIRTY: What should we do?
Ride on his back!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Quick, get on your hands and knees!
{0}_FLIRTY: Yes, maam!
He drops down on his hands and knees and you hop onto his back.
He crawls around while you swing your arms, riding him like a pony.
Do the proper position
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Seems like you better lie down on your back!
{0}_FLIRTY: You’re the boss!
He lies down on his back and you hop on top of him.
You sit on his lap and swing your arms around like you’re riding a horse.
Let him ride you!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’ll be the pony and you can ride me!
{0}_FLIRTY: But that’s not the position?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Just do it!
{0}_HAPPY: You’re the boss!
You get down on your hands and knees and {0} sits on your back, riding you like a cowboy.
UMA_IDLE: Hmmm.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Erm, cowboy?
BONNIE_HAPPY: Horsey?
SUMMER_HAPPY: Riding?
BONNIE_HAPPY: Cowgirl! It has to be!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Yes!
{0}_HAPPY: You smashed it, {1}!
You both get up and take your seats.
It’s Alex’s turn next. He looks around, choosing who to pick.
Summer scooches towards him.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: So, who's it gonna be?
ALEX_HAPPY: I think it has to be {0}.
SUMMER_SURPRISED: Again?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Me?
ALEX_HAPPY: What do you say? Wanna pick a card with me, {0}?
Let’s do it!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Yes, please.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I was hoping you would!
Alex takes you by the hand and you rush over to the card.
He reveals the prompt, Spooning!
He leans in and whispers in your ear.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Wanna be big spoon or little spoon?
Big spoon!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Oh big spoon for sure!
You both get down on the ground and you tuck yourself behind Alex in a cute cuddle.
Little spoon!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Little spoon definitely!
You both get down on the floor and he scooches in behind, enveloping you with his muscular arms.
SUMMER_HAPPY: It’s spooning!
No thanks
PLAYER_IDLE: I’d rather not if that’s ok?
ALEX_HAPPY: Oh yeah, of course! Who wants to join me then?
Summer and Bonnie’s hands shoot up.
BONNIE_HAPPY: I will!
ALEX_HAPPY: Let’s do it!
Alex draws the card. Then the two of them jump to the floor.
Alex scooches up behind Bonnie and cuddles here, keeping a respectable distance between them.
ALEX_HAPPY: Quick, guess!
Snuggle!
PLAYER_HAPPY: They’re snuggling, it’s got to be!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Nope, not yet anyway!
SUMMER_HAPPY: It’s spooning, obviously!
Spooning!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s got to be spooning!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Yes!
Sleeping!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s sleeping! They’re sleeping together!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Nope! Not yet anyways!
SUMMER_HAPPY: It’s spooning, obviously!
ALEX_HAPPY: Yep, you got it!
SUMMER_IDLE: That was too easy.
SUMMER_EMBARRASSED: Someone gonna pick me now?
UMA_FLIRTY: Don’t worry, Summer. There’s no <i>rush</i>.
Summer looks a little embarrassed as another text comes in.
JOYO_HAPPY: I’m up! How about you, Uma? Wanna have a go with me?
UMA_FLIRTY: You read my mind.
PLAYER_IDLE: Oh…
JOYO_HAPPY: Just want to make sure everyone gets a go!
SUMMER_SERIOUS: This is ridiculous.
Joyo and Uma rush over to the cards. They pull one.
Uma pulls Joyo to her and then spins her body around. She presses her body playfully back against him as she bends forward.
BRYSON_HAPPY: Well this looks familiar.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: I wanted this one!
The Wheelbarrow!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s the wheelbarrow!
UMA_HAPPY: What’s the wheelbarrow?
JOYO_FLIRTY: I know what it is, but it ain’t this.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: I know doggy style when I see it!
UMA_HAPPY: Yes!
Doggy style!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: That has to be doggy style!
UMA_HAPPY: Well observed!
JOYO_HAPPY: A personal fave.
The shopping cart!
PLAYER_HAPPY: The shopping cart?
UMA_SURPRISED: The what? I’m not a shopping cart!
JOYO_HAPPY: Isn’t that a dance move?
BONNIE_FLIRTY: I know doggy style when I see it!
UMA_HAPPY: Yes!
Joyo and Uma rush back to their places.
BRYSON_HAPPY: Finally! My turn!
SUMMER_FLIRTY: You look like you know what’s good for you, Bryson.
Bryson stands and heads straight for you.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Oh come on.
BRYSON_HAPPY: Fancy another go, {0}?
For sure!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Yes please!
BRYSON_HAPPY: Let’s gooo!
You and Bryson hurry over to the cards.
BRYSON_FLIRTY: Will you do the honours?
You pull a card, it says Turn Me On
BRYSON_HAPPY: What do we do?
PLAYER_HAPPY: What turns you on?
BRYSON_HAPPY: Neck kisses?
Kiss Bryson’s neck
PLAYER_FLIRTY: You got it.
You come in close to Bryson and gently kiss his neck.
He starts acting turned on, until you realise he isn’t acting.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Neck kisses!
ALEX_HAPPY: Making out?
JOYO_HAPPY: Turning him on?
BRYSON_HAPPY: Yes!
Let Bryson kiss your neck
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Well go on then…
You turn your head to reveal your neck.
Bryson comes closer and gently plants kisses up your neck.
You act turned on to the crowd.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Neck kisses!
ALEX_HAPPY: Making out?
JOYO_HAPPY: Turning him on?
BRYSON_HAPPY: Yes!
Pretend to be a lightswitch
PLAYER_IDLE: Not doing that! I know, I’ll be a light switch!
BRYSON_HAPPY: Yes!
You stand still and form a switch by sticking out your arm.
Bryson pushes your arm up and flicks the switch.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Switch?
SUMMER_HAPPY: Lamp?
JOYO_FLIRTY: Turn me on!
BRYSON_HAPPY: Hold on, Joyo, it’s my turn!
BRYSON_HAPPY: I’m kidding, that’s right!
You and Bryson head back to your seats.
I’m ok, thanks
PLAYER_HAPPY: I don't think so.
BRYSON_HAPPY: Oooh ok. Summer, let’s go!
SUMMER_HAPPY: I’m gonna pretend I wasn’t second choice there!
They grab a card, and whisper for a moment. Summer starts kissing Bryson’s neck.
Love bites!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s love bites!
BRYSON_HAPPY: Nope, she’s being quite gentle actually.
UMA_FLIRTY: It’s a turn on!
BRYSON_HAPPY: Sure is!
UMA_HAPPY: I knew it!
Rushing things!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Looks like rushing into things to me.
Summer rolls her eyes, pretending not to hear and then continues.
UMA_FLIRTY: It’s a turn on!
BRYSON_HAPPY: Sure is!
UMA_HAPPY: I knew it!
Turning him on!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s a turn on!
BRYSON_HAPPY: Sure is!
PLAYER_HAPPY: I knew it!
Summer and Bryson rush back to their places.
Uma’s phone pings and she heads straight for Alex!
UMA_FLIRTY: Come here you!
ALEX_HAPPY: Okie dokie!
They bolt to the cards and pull one out.
Uma jumps to the floor and lies on her back.
UMA_HAPPY: Don’t be scared! I don’t bite!
Alex looks a little shy and he lies down on top of her.
JOYO_HAPPY: Just sex?
BRYSON_IDLE: Good one…
Planking!
PLAYER_HAPPY: He’s planking on her!
ALEX_HAPPY: Rude!
RAFAEL_HAPPY: I think he’s trying to do missionary?
ALEX_HAPPY: Thanks a lot, guys! Like that weren’t embarrassing already!
RAFAEL_HAPPY: Only messing with ya, great form mate!
Missionary!
PLAYER_HAPPY: That’s missionary for sure!
ALEX_HAPPY: Yes! Glad I did something right!
UMA_FLIRTY: You did a lot right.
Wrestling!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Are you wrestling her?
ALEX_HAPPY: Wrestling her? No!
RAFAEL_HAPPY: I believe it’s called missionary.
ALEX_HAPPY: Thank you!
Alex and Uma take their seats hurriedly.
RAFAEL_HAPPY: My time to shine!
Rafael hurries over to Bonnie and offers his hand.
RAFAEL_HAPPY: Bonnie, will you do me the honour?
BONNIE_HAPPY: Sure!
PLAYER_IDLE: Oh…
RAFAEL_HAPPY: Just wanna make sure everyone goes!
Rafael and Bonnie pull their card.
She whispers in his ear and then plants a peck on his cheek.
JOYO_HAPPY: A peck!
SUMMER_HAPPY: A kiss!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Yes!
RAFAEL_FLIRTY: Easy peasy.
Before Bonnie can sit back down her phone pings!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Oh, my turn again!
She looks around at everyone.
Then her gaze lands on you.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Care to join me, {0}?
Yas!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Yes!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Yay! Come on then!
Not really
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m ok, thanks.
BONNIE_SAD: Oh, no problem.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Well then how about you, Bryson?
BRYSON_HAPPY: Sure, let’s do it!
BONNIE_HAPPY: How about you, Bryson?
BRYSON_HAPPY: Yes! Let’s do it!
You and Bonnie rush over to the cards and pull one out.
It says Cuddle
BONNIE_HAPPY: What should we do??
Jump into her arms
PLAYER_HAPPY: I’ve got an idea.
You take a step back, then leap into Bonnie’s arms.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Ahhh!
She catches you just in time.
Everyone claps and applauds.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Aren’t you full of surprises!
Have a tender embrace
PLAYER_FLIRTY: How about this?
You step towards Bonnie and pull her in close to you.
You gently place her head on your shoulder and relax into one another.
Holding each other tight in a comforting embrace.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Aww, this is actually really nice.
BONNIE_HAPPY: You give great cuddles, {0}.
Snuggle on the floor
PLAYER_HAPPY: Quick! On the floor!
Bonnie lays down on her back and you hop on top of her.
Wrapping your arms around each other, you roll around in a chaotic cuddle.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Ahh! You’re wild {0}!
BRYSON_HAPPY: A hug!
SUMMER_HAPPY: A snuggle?!
RAFAEL_HAPPY: A cuddle! Obviously!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Yes!
Bonnie smiles, a sparkle in her eye. Before you make your way back to your seats.
Bonnie and Bryson grab their card.
Before you know it Bonnie takes a run up and jumps into Bryson’s arms.
They lock their arms around each other and spin around in a playful embrace.
UMA_FLIRTY: Dancing?
JOYO_HAPPY: Hugging?
RAFAEL_HAPPY: It’s a cuddle!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Yes!
Bonnie and Bryson high five as they take their seats.
UMA_FLIRTY: Is that it then? Game over?
JOYO_HAPPY: Looks like there is one more card?
UMA_FLIRTY: {0}! Why don’t you take it! Bet it’s the juiciest!
UMA_FLIRTY: Might even be a chance for a little smooch.
*Yes, I’m doing it!
PLAYER_HAPPY: That card’s mine!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Wooo! Go {0}!
UMA_FLIRTY: This one is gonna be good, I can tell.
Nah, I’m done
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m fine, thanks.
BONNIE_SURPRISED: Really? But who knows what it will be?
UMA_FLIRTY: Might be a chance to get to know the boys <i>properly</i>.
SUMMER_HAPPY: If you don’t take it I will!
*Alright, I’ll do it!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Ok, I’m doing it!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Yaaas! Go, {0}!
I don’t want to
PLAYER_IDLE: No thanks. I don’t want to.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Great! Then it’s all mine!
You pick out a card, it says Snogging. Uma glances over your shoulder at it and whispers to you.
UMA_FLIRTY: Juicy. Sounds like Rafael’s kind of closed off. For now.
UMA_FLIRTY: Sure we can turn his head though in time.
UMA_FLIRTY: So, who are you gonna pick?
Bryson
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m choosing Bryson.
BRYSON_HAPPY: Well aren’t I a lucky boy!
BRYSON_HAPPY: We’re gonna smash this!
Joyo
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m choosing Joyo.
JOYO_FLIRTY: I hoped you would.
JOYO_FLIRTY: I guess I got lucky.
Alex
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m choosing Alex.
ALEX_HAPPY: Lucky me!
ALEX_HAPPY: I’ll do my best!
Bonnie
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m choosing Bonnie.
BONNIE_HAPPY: Me? Wow, it’s my lucky day!
You take {0}’s hand and show the card, both of your eyes lighting up.
{0}_FLIRTY: I guess there’s only one thing to do?
Sexy snog!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Pucker up!
You pull {0} close to you.
You feel their hands on your waist as you close your eyes and lean in.
{0}’s soft lips meet yours in a passionate snog.
You feel them breathe deeply, goosebumps forming on your skin.
{0} pulls you in closer in a tight embrace.
Then you pull apart and stare into each other’s eyes.
UMA_FLIRTY: Wooo! Now that’s a snog!
{0}_HAPPY: Yes it was! I’m very impressed.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Good to know you enjoyed it.
{0}_HAPPY: I think that’s understating it, {1}.
{0}_FLIRTY: You’re a great kisser.
{0}_FLIRTY: That kiss is definitely up there.
{0} looks deep into your eyes, a palpable excitement hangs between you.
You get a sense that you’ve certainly caught their attention.
{0}_HAPPY: I’m hoping there’ll be more kisses like that.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Interesting.
UMA_FLIRTY: Looks like sparks are flying already!
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Can’t deny that looked like a hot kiss.
Mime snogging
PLAYER_HAPPY: Let’s just mime it for now.
{0}_HAPPY: Sure thing!
You turn your back to the others and pretend to snog each other.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Kissing?
UMA_HAPPY: Making out?
SUMMER_HAPPY: Oh wait, snogging!
{0}_HAPPY: Yes! Kind of.
You hear one final ping.
Joyo checks his phone.
SUMMER_IDLE: What now?
JOYO_HAPPY: Says the game is over!
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Oh what? That’s not fair!
UMA_HAPPY: That’s it then!
SUMMER_FLIRTY: I defo would’ve picked you, Joyo.
BRYSON_SURPRISED: Why Joyo??
JOYO_FLIRTY: If you have to ask then that says it all.
BRYSON_SERIOUS: I wasn’t asking you.
JOYO_FLIRTY: Maybe if you worked on your moves a bit.
ALEX_HAPPY: Come on, lads, let’s leave the girls to chat for a bit, yeah?
RAFAEL_HAPPY: Yeah, I’m sure they’ve got lots to discuss.
BRYSON_HAPPY: Sure, see you later, ladies.
JOYO_FLIRTY: Later, girls!
As the boys walk away you can hear Bryson and Joyo bickering.
JOYO_EMBARRASSED: Why the long face man?
BRYSON_SERIOUS: As if you need to ask that after earlier.
UMA_HAPPY: That was a lot of fun!
BONNIE_HAPPY: Right! These boys are such a laugh.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: Not to mention hot!
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Yeah, what happened to going slow, Summer?
SUMMER_IDLE: I don’t know what you mean?
BONNIE_FLIRTY: By the time we got out there you nearly had a ring on your finger!
SUMMER_HAPPY: I just got a bit excited, that's all!
SUMMER_HAPPY: I’m not committing to anyone! The deal’s still on. No rushing!
UMA_FLIRTY: Well, I’m going to go chat to them and see who they really are.
Uma leans into your ear.
UMA_HAPPY: If I were you, I'd get my grafting boots on too.
UMA_HAPPY: And get to know all the boys as much as you can.
UMA_FLIRTY: You only get one chance to make a first impression.
*I’ll have longer chats with all the boys
I’ll see how it goes
PLAYER_IDLE: I think I’ll just play it by ear. See how they go.
UMA_IDLE: I don’t know. Things move fast in Casa Amor.
UMA_FLIRTY: I’d get to know them all as much as possible.
UMA_SERIOUS: It could help you work out who to focus on.
UMA_FLIRTY: And it might help turn their head your way.
*I’ll have longer chats with all the boys
I’ll play it by ear
PLAYER_IDLE: I’ll just see what happens.
UMA_IDLE: Fair enough.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: You’re right, I should make the most of these chats.
UMA_FLIRTY: Absolutely. You only get one chance at a first impression.
UMA_FLIRTY: And things move fast in Casa Amor.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Catch you later!
&roofterrace: Alex
You burst through the doors, surprising Alex as he takes in the views.
ALEX_SURPRISED: {0}! You caught me by surprise then.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Didn’t mean to scare you.
ALEX_HAPPY: Oh no, nothing scary about it! A very nice surprise.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Come sit with me.
You sit yourself down next to Alex.
ALEX_HAPPY: You caught me getting a cheeky bird’s-eye view of the Casa.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Getting the lay of the land?
ALEX_HAPPY: Exactly, just taking it all in. The villa’s been such a whirlwind.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Being here feels refreshing.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Like a fresh start?
ALEX_FLIRTY: Yeah, maybe.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I’ve certainly found a lot to admire so far.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Oh really? What have you been admiring so far?
ALEX_HAPPY: Well, the cupboards in the kitchen have been fitted immaculately…
ALEX_HAPPY: And don’t get me started on the living room.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Sorry, what are you on about?
ALEX_HAPPY: I’m a carpenter by trade.
ALEX_HAPPY: Gotta admire good craftsmanship when you see it.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: Oh, I thought you might have been admiring us Casa girls…
ALEX_FLIRTY: I was… I’m just messing with you.
ALEX_FLIRTY: You’re all stunning. It’s true what they say.
PLAYER_HAPPY: What do they say?
ALEX_FLIRTY: Casa Amor really is the ultimate test. I can already see this won’t be easy!
ALEX_HAPPY: But I’ve gotta admit. I’m glad it was you that came and found me.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Oh really?
ALEX_FLIRTY: I’ve been looking forward to getting to know you.
Flirt it up
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Me too. I’ve been looking forward to getting you to myself.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Well, I’m all yours.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: All mine already? That was easy.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Just a few minutes with me and you forget all about the other villa?
ALEX_FLIRTY: Ha, you clearly have that effect on me.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: You haven’t seen anything yet.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I can’t wait to see what you have in store…
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I want to see what you’re about first.
Act cool
PLAYER_HAPPY: I can’t blame you, I’m pretty cool.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Most people wanna know me. I’m kinda a big deal.
ALEX_HAPPY: I can tell… and humble too.
Alex shoots you a jokey wink.
ALEX_HAPPY: Well, I’m honoured to be in your presence.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Good, you should be!
PLAYER_HAPPY: So, who is Alex?
Be mysterious
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m more interested in getting to know Alex.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: The less you know about me the better…
ALEX_FLIRTY: Ooh, very intriguing. I love a bit of mystery.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Go on then, I’m an open book.
PLAYER_HAPPY: You’re a carpenter?
ALEX_HAPPY: That’s right and I know what you’re thinking.
PLAYER_HAPPY: What am I thinking?
ALEX_FLIRTY: It does make me good with my hands.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Very presumptive but good to know. What sort of stuff do you make then?
ALEX_HAPPY: Oh anything I put my mind to really.
ALEX_HAPPY: I built a lot of my house actually, back in Warrington.
ALEX_IDLE: Bought a sad old fixer upper and have been refurbing it back to its former glory.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Some kind of lad pad I’m guessing?
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: More like country manor…
ALEX_HAPPY: It was basically a ruin so I got it real cheap.
ALEX_HAPPY: It's always been my goal to build my dream home.
PLAYER_IDLE: And would you build a dream house for your dream girl?
ALEX_FLIRTY: I’d love to, what we talking? Humble cottage or grand castle?
Cottage
PLAYER_HAPPY: I wouldn’t mind a cute little cottage.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Tucked away all cosy in the countryside.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Now that I can do.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Sounds like you’re a handy man to have around.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I like to make myself useful.
Castle
PLAYER_HAPPY: A castle sounds real nice.
ALEX_HAPPY: I’d expect nothing less.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Your wish is my command!
ALEX_HAPPY: Might take me a few years, mind.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I can wait.
Townhouse
PLAYER_IDLE: I’d prefer a townhouse?
ALEX_HAPPY: Ah city girl are we? That might be a tricky one.
ALEX_IDLE: I’m more of a fan of rustic buildings.
ALEX_FLIRTY: But just for you I could give it a go!
ALEX_HAPPY: I’ve got a treehouse in my garden in the meantime?
PLAYER_SURPRISED: You think I’m going to live in your treehouse?
ALEX_HAPPY: Trust me this isn’t any ordinary treehouse.
ALEX_HAPPY: Think of it more like a luxury tree top residence.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I’m listening…
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: Alright, I may have oversold it. It is dragon themed.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Interesting.
ALEX_HAPPY: I built it for my nephews! And kinda for me too.
ALEX_HAPPY: They always come over to mine.
ALEX_IDLE: I thought it would be nice for them to have somewhere to play.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Aww.
ALEX_HAPPY: I built this slide coming out of the dragon’s mouth.
ALEX_HAPPY: It leads into this ball pit I made. It’s got a roof so they can play in the rain.
ALEX_HAPPY: And I built this scaly tail out of old tires.
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: Sorry, I always geek out over this stuff.
Tell him he’s cute
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s pretty cute hearing you talk about this.
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s good to see your cute side already.
ALEX_HAPPY: Glad I haven’t icked you out already.
Tease him
PLAYER_FLIRTY: It certainly seems like you do.
PLAYER_IDLE: Do you normally rave about treehouses to girls you’ve just met?
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: Sadly so. Probably why I’m still single.
ALEX_HAPPY: Anything to be the cool uncle.
ALEX_HAPPY: Which feels weird to say, I still feel like a kid.
ALEX_HAPPY: But seeing how much the kids love it always puts a smile on my face.
ALEX_HAPPY: Even if having a dragon treehouse isn’t exactly a winner with the ladies…
I love it!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I love the sound of that!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s a winner with me.
ALEX_HAPPY: Really? I mean I secretly love it too.
ALEX_HAPPY: You can visit anytime.
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s a date.
It’s not a vibe
PLAYER_IDLE: Yeah, that doesn’t sound like a vibe if I’m honest.
ALEX_IDLE: Yeah, exactly. The kids love it though.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Maybe when they grow up I’ll turn it into the luxury treetop residence.
PLAYER_HAPPY: That’s more like it.
Who cares about the ladies?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Who cares what the ladies think!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Being the cool uncle sounds way better anyway.
ALEX_HAPPY: It is pretty great. They’re funny kids.
PLAYER_HAPPY: So you’ve not been bringing many ladies to the dragon house then?
ALEX_HAPPY: Not exactly.
ALEX_IDLE: Though I’ve not brought anyone back to the casa del Alex lately.
PLAYER_IDLE: Oh? Have you been single for a while?
ALEX_IDLE: Not exactly single, but not exactly dating. I don’t know what you’d call it?
PLAYER_IDLE: I know what you mean, like situationships?
ALEX_HAPPY: Yeah! I’ve met some nice girls but it’s not gone the distance lately.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Has it ever gone the distance?
ALEX_HAPPY: Well clearly not too far otherwise I wouldn’t be here!
ALEX_HAPPY: But I’ve had a couple of long-term girlfriends in the past.
ALEX_HAPPY: But neither of them were the one.
PLAYER_HAPPY: You’re ready for the one?
ALEX_HAPPY: More than ready! It’s the reason I’m here.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: And do you think you’ve found her yet? In the villa I mean.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I see you’re not shy asking the awkward questions.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Had to ask. Who are you coupled with in the villa?
ALEX_IDLE: I’m with Estelle.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Ah Estelle! The competition…
ALEX_HAPPY: Ha, not quite. She’s a lovely girl.
ALEX_HAPPY: We definitely clicked, on that first day there was chemistry.
ALEX_IDLE: But after a while it kind of fizzled out.
ALEX_IDLE: It felt like we wanted different things. I guess opposites attract…
ALEX_IDLE: But it doesn't mean it lasts.
ALEX_HAPPY: It’s pretty friend vibey with us.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: You’re in a friend couple?
ALEX_IDLE: Not quite, but I think we’re both open to new people.
PLAYER_IDLE: So you’re open to having your head turned?
ALEX_FLIRTY: Seems to be spinning as we speak.
ALEX_FLIRTY: You’ve certainly taken be my surprise, {0}.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Though I think you’ve caught all the boys’ eyes.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: You think?
ALEX_FLIRTY: Can’t say I blame them.
ALEX_HAPPY: I’m sure they’ll be butting heads over you in no time.
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: Wouldn’t be the first time in here.
PLAYER_IDLE: Yeah, I noticed a bit of tension between Bryson and Joyo.
ALEX_HAPPY: Ah yeah, they’re not exactly the best of friends at the moment.
ALEX_IDLE: But not my place to get into other people’s business. Or my style.
ALEX_HAPPY: Prefer to stay drama free.
ALEX_IDLE: I’m sure they’ll fill you in themselves though.
ALEX_HAPPY: If they haven’t already…
PLAYER_HAPPY: Looks like I’ve got some snooping to do then.
ALEX_HAPPY: If you’re not in a hurry to snoop we could chill here a little longer?
ALEX_HAPPY: You’ve got good chat. I’m up for getting to know you better for sure.
ALEX_HAPPY: Plus, I could fill you in on the other boys too if you’re interested?
*I’ll stay longer!
I’ll make tracks
PLAYER_IDLE: Nah, I’ve got other people to chat to.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I’m sure they could wait, if you wanted to talk a bit more.
ALEX_HAPPY: I can give you my first impressions of you girls…
*Ok, I’ll stay
No, really
PLAYER_IDLE: No, really. I wanna talk to the others.
ALEX_IDLE: Makes sense, {0}.
ALEX_HAPPY: We’ll catch up later.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Yeah, ok. I’ll stay and chill for a bit.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I was hoping you’d say that.
ALEX_HAPPY: I feel like I was ready to leave the main villa for a bit.
ALEX_IDLE: It’s really fun to come here and meet some great new girls.
ALEX_IDLE: No shade on the OG girls, they’re all cool in their own ways.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I’m just ready to explore a new connection.
PLAYER_IDLE: So what were your first impressions of the Casa Amor girls then?
ALEX_HAPPY: Uma’s great. She seems very sure of herself.
ALEX_HAPPY: I like her confidence!
ALEX_IDLE: I feel like people often jump to conclusions about confident people.
ALEX_IDLE: Thinking that they’re cocky.
ALEX_HAPPY: But Uma doesn’t seem it. She just seems to know her own mind.
You like confidence? You’ll love me
PLAYER_FLIRTY: You like confidence?
ALEX_FLIRTY: I do… It’s always been a trait I like in a girl.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: You’ll love me then.
ALEX_FLIRTY: I believe you, {0}.
ALEX_HAPPY: You seem sure of yourself. I like that.
Are you confident then?
PLAYER_IDLE: Are you confident then?
ALEX_HAPPY: Absolutely.
PLAYER_IDLE: But not cocky?
ALEX_IDLE: Never. My friends and family would never let that fly.
ALEX_HAPPY: I’m a confident guy. Confident in what I do, who I am, how I dress.
ALEX_IDLE: But I’d like to think I never come across as arrogant.
PLAYER_IDLE: I’ll have to wait and see.
Uma’s not that confident
PLAYER_IDLE: Uma’s not that confident.
PLAYER_IDLE: You just met her, I don’t know how you can gauge all that.
ALEX_IDLE: That’s just the vibe she gave me.
ALEX_IDLE: I’m fully prepared to be wrong though.
PLAYER_IDLE: What about Bonnie and Summer?
ALEX_HAPPY: Bonnie seems like the kind of girl who could brighten up any situation.
ALEX_IDLE: She’s got that natural comfortability about her.
ALEX_HAPPY: She could slot into any friend group and be close to them in no time.
ALEX_HAPPY: An all-round lovely girl.
ALEX_HAPPY: Summer seems nice too.
ALEX_IDLE: Very flirty and competitive.
ALEX_IDLE: It’s hard to fully know what she’s about right now.
ALEX_IDLE: I’m sure there’s more to her.
PLAYER_IDLE: And what’s your first impressions of me?
ALEX_HAPPY: Very beautiful. Like, extremely beautiful.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Magnetic. I can feel myself being pulled towards you.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Charming…
ALEX_FLIRTY: Very cool…
ALEX_FLIRTY: Mysterious…
ALEX_HAPPY: And you love treehouses too, which is a bonus.
ALEX_HAPPY: In short, you’re intriguing for sure.
I’m the most intriguing girl
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m the most interesting girl, I know that.
ALEX_IDLE: Bold statement there, {0}!
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m a bold girl.
ALEX_IDLE: I wouldn’t want to put any of the other girls down.
ALEX_HAPPY: But you do have something about you for sure.
ALEX_IDLE: You seem like the most so far.
Aww, thanks Alex
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Aww, thanks Alex.
PLAYER_HAPPY: It feels good to hear you say those things.
ALEX_FLIRTY: Does it?
ALEX_HAPPY: I think that’s a good sign then, {0}.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Maybe you’re right.
Is that all you can say?
PLAYER_IDLE: Is that all you have to say?
ALEX_IDLE: Well, I’ve only just met you, {0}.
ALEX_HAPPY: I’m sure there’s way more I have yet to discover.
ALEX_HAPPY: I think you’re going to be popular with all the boys.
PLAYER_IDLE: You think?
ALEX_HAPPY: Definitely. I know them all pretty well by now.
PLAYER_IDLE: Give me a bit of an insight then?
ALEX_HAPPY: Into the boys?
ALEX_HAPPY: Well Joyo, he’ll pretend that nothing fazes him.
ALEX_IDLE: Don’t get me wrong, he is a cool guy.
ALEX_HAPPY: But the right kind of girl could rattle him.
ALEX_IDLE: I think he’s got more levels to him than he gives off sometimes.
ALEX_HAPPY: Bryson… He’s a lot. He makes me laugh, constantly.
ALEX_HAPPY: He brings the good vibes to any situation.
ALEX_IDLE: He can be a bit immature though, but he’s very switched on.
ALEX_IDLE: I think underneath the bundle of charisma, he’s a smart lad.
PLAYER_HAPPY: And Rafael?
ALEX_HAPPY: Raf, Raffie, my brother.
ALEX_HAPPY: You know when you just know you’re gonna be mates with someone for life?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Aww. Bromance?
ALEX_HAPPY: Yeah, he’s become like my little brother in here.
ALEX_IDLE: I feel the instinct to look out for him.
ALEX_HAPPY: Plus, I know my nephews are gonna love him.
ALEX_HAPPY: We’ve been pretty inseparable since the day we met.
ALEX_HAPPY: I’m happy to make it to Casa Amor with him.
ALEX_IDLE: Now we both need to figure out what we want from here…
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m curious to know that too.
ALEX_IDLE: I’ll be straight with you, {0}.
ALEX_HAPPY: I want to give everyone a chance. I’m here to find my person.
ALEX_IDLE: And I never want to settle. I want to find <i>the one</i>.
ALEX_HAPPY: And who knows how that’s going to pan out.
ALEX_FLIRTY: But you’ve defo caught my eye.
ALEX_IDLE: But I will let you know that I move slower than some of the other boys.
I move slow too
PLAYER_HAPPY: That’s cool with me, I move slow too.
PLAYER_IDLE: I like to really get to know people.
ALEX_HAPPY: Exactly! Things are a bit different here than in the outside world.
ALEX_IDLE: But that doesn’t mean anybody has to rush into anything.
ALEX_HAPPY: Then again, who knows. Maybe I’m looking for a girl to surprise me.
What a shame, I move fast
PLAYER_IDLE: Ooops, that’s a shame. I’m sorta in the move fast camp.
ALEX_IDLE: Well, that’s ok.
ALEX_IDLE: Who knows, maybe I’m just waiting for a girl to surprise me…
ALEX_IDLE: Yeah, Bryson and Joyo definitely seem to move a little faster.
ALEX_IDLE: I think they’ll want to explore things in Casa Amor.
ALEX_HAPPY: See if they’ve got a better connection with anybody.
PLAYER_IDLE: Oh really?
ALEX_IDLE: Yeah, but Rafael will be more cautious. He’s a bit tied to Daphne.
ALEX_HAPPY: I think he should explore his options though.
PLAYER_IDLE: That makes sense.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Speaking of the other boys…
ALEX_FLIRTY: I’ll let you mingle.
ALEX_HAPPY: It’s been fun chatting with you, {0}.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Bye, Alex.
You head off to chat to the others.

An Individual’s Journey to Employment Through Apprenticeship
Tumblr media
"The training and support I received assisted me in bridging the gap between education and employment. I am sincerely grateful to Yashaswi for their guidance throughout this journey.” — Apprenticeship Trainee
Overview
This case study illustrates how Yashaswi’s well-structured apprenticeship program guided a young mechanical engineering graduate to bridge the gap between academic qualifications and industry readiness. It outlines the career journey of a mechanical graduate who transitioned into a fulfilling corporate role after encountering numerous challenges in securing employment.
Background of the Candidate
Hailing from a modest family in Navi Mumbai, the candidate lived with his father, mother, and younger sister. His father, a retired public sector employee, and his mother, a homemaker, had invested their hopes in his education. After completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in 2013, the candidate, with optimism, actively sought job opportunities online and offline and attended numerous interviews across industries.
However, despite his earnest efforts, he was unable to secure employment due to the lack of industry-required skills and practical exposure. The stretch of unemployment left him grappling with uncertainty about his future and took a toll on his confidence as he navigated his career path.
Challenge Faced by the Fresher Candidate
Although he was a graduate, the candidate struggled to demonstrate the practical skills employers expected, making it difficult for him to compete in a job market that favours real-world experience. Like many other fresh graduates, he faced intense competition for entry-level roles, lacked a professional network to access opportunities, and had limited interview experience, all of which made securing meaningful employment challenging.
Intervention by Yashaswi Academy for Skills
In 2020, the candidate attended the MahaRojgar employment fair in Thane and came into contact with representatives of Yashaswi Academy for Skills. During their conversation, he learned, for the first time, about India’s Apprenticeship Program, a government-recognized initiative combining on-the-job training, online theoretical sessions, evaluation, and certification. Importantly, the program also offered a monthly stipend, easing financial pressure during the training period.
He got enrolled in the apprenticeship program. As part of the preparatory process, Yashaswi conducted a mock interview to replicate real interview conditions, thereby assessing the candidate’s readiness. Additionally, he received personalized mentoring from a senior trainer and regional leadership, focusing on communication skills, interview strategies, and confidence enhancement. These comprehensive efforts culminated in the candidate’s successful selection for a one-year apprenticeship at a steel manufacturing company in Maharashtra, where he joined the 2020–2021 apprenticeship batch as a Trainee Engineer in the Procurement Department with a monthly stipend of ₹16,000.
Apprenticeship Experience and Outcome
During a comprehensive one-year apprenticeship, the candidate participated in extensive hands-on training across various procurement functions. This experience enabled him to develop a strong understanding of the practical application of academic principles while acquiring industry-relevant skills. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, he received certification from the Sector Skill Council, validating his readiness for the industry. The apprenticeship program provided not only financial stability but also reassurance about his career path.
After his apprenticeship, the candidate was presented with multiple employment opportunities and ultimately accepted a position with a global IT services company. Today, he is employed at a prominent engineering firm in Mumbai as a Procurement Specialist, with an annual salary of ₹8 lakhs.
Conclusion
This case study exemplifies the transformative impact of the Apprenticeship Program in India, addressing the employability gap among graduates. Through dedicated mentorship, on-the-job training, and skill development support by Yashaswi, the candidate achieved meaningful employment and established a stable career. His journey reflects Yashaswi’s broader contribution to building a skilled workforce in the nation.

"Construction connected to military training had its most profound economic impact in the Prairies, where the greatest number of BCATP [British Commonwealth Air Training Plan] bases were concentrated. Large numbers of army recruits could be trained at places such as Camp Borden and Camp Valcartier in Ontario and Quebec, which had been built during the Great War, although they required upgrading and new construction. But for air training, two-thirds of wartime facilities had to be built from scratch, as Canada possessed relatively few — and generally small — airfields before the conflict.
With riches in the offing, allegations were sometimes heard that the federal Liberals chose locations for the bases to reward areas loyal to the party. However, no such correlation was proven; it was simply a matter of mathematics that most bases were located in Liberal ridings since, after the March 1940 federal election, the party held nearly three-quarters of the parliamentary seats. Indeed, realizing the crucial importance of establishing bases and graduating air force personnel quickly — and the likelihood of political catastrophe if it were concluded that patronage compromised these goals or the lives of trainees — the Liberals made a point of separating the process of base selection from the political level. This task was handed over to technical experts, primarily at the Ministry of Transport. They sought out locales with topography best suited for good-quality airfields and with large expanses of surrounding space free from potentially dangerous obstacles.
Before the war, military construction had been the responsibility of the Royal Canadian Engineers, but to rapidly meet the huge requirements of the BCATP, Ottawa created a new directorate under R.R. Collard, vice-president and general manager of the Carter-Hall-Aldinger Construction Company of Winnipeg, who was well experienced with large contracting projects. Collard, assigned the rank of air marshal, recruited engineers and draftsmen from civilian construction firms to prepare designs for hangars, drill halls, and barrack blocks, and many of these companies were awarded building contracts by Munitions and Supply. For speed and efficiency, standardization was implemented, parts often arrived pre-cut, and buildings were put up in as little as a day.
Contractors and labourers were imported into less populated areas, thus precipitating boom conditions. To build the $800,000 aerodrome in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, companies and crew came from Winnipeg and Saskatoon. The BCATP also provided civilian employment beyond construction needs. With initial shortages of skilled air force pilots in Canada, and wartime demands that prevented the release of British personnel, civilian air clubs were hired until the plan could produce its own instructors. Bases frequently offered employment for civilian mechanics, janitors, cooks, and stenographers." Also of tremendous significance was the business generated by airmen on leave. Advertisements in BCATP base newspapers give a taste of local desire to capitalize on this new resource. In the Slipstream, printed for the No.7 Service Flying Training School in Fort Macleod, Alberta, the Macleod Photo Studio publicized its “special RCAF frames”; the Java Shop billed itself as the most “swinging joint” in town; and Al’s Billiard Hall, with its new air conditioning system, said it was the “coolest.”
Although discontent was felt in northern Alberta over the distribution of BCATP bases, it soon dissipated. By the end of 1940, three separate delegations of local politicians and businessmen from Edmonton had visited Ottawa, and arrangements were made to transform the city’s exhibition grounds into an air force manning depot. An air observer school, an elementary flying school, and an initial training school soon followed in Edmonton.
Of far greater significance, both to Edmonton and areas further north, was the creation of the Northwest Staging Route, which in late 1941 started supplying the Soviet Union with military hardware, including aircraft. Edmonton served as its base of operations, and for a short period in early 1942, with additional activity relating to the construction of the Alaska Highway, the city’s airport, Blatchford Field, was the busiest in North America. The Americans, who directed both the staging route and the highway, provided Blatchford with $3.5 million for buildings and $6 million to upgrade and increase the number of runways, thus ensuring its status as Edmonton’s main airport for years after the war. The next year, to ease pressure on Blatchford, the Americans spent another $7 million to construct the Namao airfield, with two 7,000-foot runways, eight miles north of Edmonton’s then-current city limits.
The staging route, which ended in Fairbanks, Alaska, consisted of a line of thirteen small airports, built at the cost of $58.5 million, eleven of which were on Canadian soil. Between 1941 and 1944 the route accommodated some 9,000 flights by fighter and bomber aircraft. Usually to mixed responses, the airfields opened up small, often isolated, communities, some with a high percentage of Aboriginal peoples. There was plenty of work to help construct, maintain, and supply the airfields and accompanying facilities, especially in the “principal staging points” of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Fort St. John and Fort Nelson, British Columbia, and Watson Lake and Whitehorse in the Yukon. Each of these airports was equipped with a 4,000-foot runway with lighting for night landings. Also, because atmospheric conditions often interfered with radio signals, the Americans installed 2,400 miles of landlines, which tremendously upgraded communication facilities in Canada’s northwest and far north."

Bridging the Skill Gap with Process Control Simulation Training
Tumblr media
"Why is it so hard to find skilled workers for industrial automation?"
"How do we train new employees without risking downtime or safety?"
"Is there a way to upskill our team without pulling them off active projects?" If you've ever asked these questions, you're not alone. The skills gap in industrial sectors—especially in process control and automation—is a growing concern for plant managers, HR teams, and training coordinators. The good news? Process control simulation training is becoming a game-changer. It's not just about learning theory; it's about giving your team hands-on experience in a risk-free, highly realistic environment. In this blog, let's explore how process control simulation training is helping companies bridge the skills gap, boost productivity, and future-proof their workforce.
🔧 What Is Process Control Simulation Training?
Process control simulation training uses software-based tools (and sometimes hardware-integrated systems) to simulate real-world industrial processes, such as chemical reactions, fluid flow, heating systems, or batch operations.
Employees interact with digital twins of systems rather than learning on a live plant or production line (which can be costly and risky). They can also practice controlling variables and troubleshoot simulated failures in a controlled and safe learning space.
📉 The Reality of the Skills Gap
Here's the harsh truth: as experienced engineers retire and tech continues to evolve, there's a growing mismatch between what employers need and what job seekers can do.
According to various industry reports:
Over 50% of manufacturers say they struggle to find qualified talent.
Many graduates enter the workforce without practical exposure to control systems, instrumentation, or advanced automation.
On-the-job training often means learning under pressure, which increases risk and slows down productivity.
That's where process control simulation comes in to level the playing field.
💡 Why Simulation Training Works So Well
Let's break it down—why is simulation training such a powerful tool for skill development?
1. Hands-On Without the Risk
Operators and engineers can learn to manage pumps, valves, sensors, and PID controllers without shutting down an actual plant or risking equipment failure.
✅ Outcome: Teams gain confidence and skills faster, without the anxiety of making real-world mistakes.
2. Real-Time Feedback and Learning
Simulation platforms offer instant feedback so learners can see every decision's cause and effect. Did a parameter spike? Was the valve response too slow? The trainee can adjust, repeat, and refine.
✅ Outcome: Faster learning curves and better problem-solving abilities.
3. Customized to Industry Needs
Whether you're in oil and gas, food processing, pharmaceuticals, or energy, process control simulation training can be tailored to match the systems your team uses every day.
✅ Outcome: No more generic training—only relevant, job-specific practice.
4. Supports All Experience Levels
From entry-level technicians to experienced engineers learning new platforms, simulation training fulfills people where they are.
✅ Outcome: Continuous professional development becomes scalable.
🧠 What Skills Are Developed?
Here are just a few areas where process control simulation builds competence:
Instrument calibration
Process variable tuning (temperature, flow, pressure)
PLC and SCADA integration
Alarming and fault detection
Start-up and shutdown procedures
Troubleshooting under abnormal conditions
It also enhances soft skills like decision-making, attention to detail, and collaboration using group-based simulations.
🏭 Real-World Benefits for Companies
Let's not forget the big picture—this isn't just a learning tool. It's a strategic investment.
✔️ Shorter onboarding time for new hires
✔️ Reduced operational downtime from human error
✔️ Higher retention and employee satisfaction
✔️ Stronger compliance with safety regulations
✔️ Better preparedness for automation upgrades
Companies using process control simulation in their training programs are more agile, efficient, and better positioned for growth.
🚀 Getting Started with Simulation Training
Are you ready to close the skills gap in your team? Here's how to begin:
Choose the right platform –
Look for simulation tools like Simulink, DCS emulators, or virtual PLC trainers.
Assess your team's needs –
Identify the processes or skills most needing improvement.
Design a structured training path –
Combine simulations with assessments and guided instruction.
Track progress –
Use KPIs to measure learning outcomes and improvements over time.
Encourage a culture of learning –
Make training constant, not just a one-time event.
Final Thoughts
Bridging the skill gap doesn't have to mean expensive hires or risky learning curves. With simulation training in process control, you can quickly, safely, and effectively give your team the necessary skills. As industries evolve, the companies that invest in their people through innovative training tools will be the ones that lead the way. So, if you're ready to turn your team into top-tier operators and problem-solvers, process control simulation might be your best bet. Count on skilled software developers of PiControl Solutions LLC to design and implement tools for process control simulation and train your team.
